Crime Blotter – Stuff Gets Stolen, Civil Dispute Gets Uncivilized

From the desk of Lt. Ron Izuka of the Culver City Police – Crime Blotter for April 26 through May 2-
Car Burglary:
On April 26, 2011 at 5:00 pm, a victim called the department to report his 2009 Dodge Charger had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle at 7:00 pm on April 25, 2011 in the 3800 block of Cardiff Avenue. When he returned at 8:00 pm he discovered his vehicle had been broken into.
Car Burglary:
On April 27, 2011 at 4:30 pm, a victim came to the station to report her 2001 Toyota had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 9800 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 2:00 pm and when she returned at 4:15 pm discovered her driver side window had been shattered and her property missing.
Assault:
On April 28, 2011 at 8:25 am, officers responded to the 3500 block of Helms Avenue regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he said was approached by the suspect regarding a civil dispute and during the course of the conversation the suspect hit the victim once.
Commercial Burglary:
On April 28, 2011 at 1:30 pm, officers responded to the 3500 block of Hayden Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he said he locked and secured the business on April 22, 2011 at 5:00 pm, when he returned on the 28th he discovered the front doors were open. He checked the location and discovered some property was missing.
Residential Burglary:
On April 29, 2011 at 3:00 pm, officers responded to the 5900 block of Wright crest Drive regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with victim who told the following; he said he locked and secured his residence at 9:50 am. He returned at 2:30 pm, and discovered a sliding glass door had been forced open. He then checked the residence and discovered his property missing.
