Healthy Lifestyles Conference to be Hosted by Price

Senator Curren D. Price, Jr., Chair of the California Legislative Black Caucus, and members of the CLBC, in an effort to reduce health disparities within African American communities, are convening a Healthy Lifestyles Initiative Conference on Friday, April 29th, from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the California Science Center’s Donald P. Loker Conference Room, 700 State Drive, LA.

“We must find ways for African Americans and other minorities to access quality health care and improve their health outcomes in a medical system that continues to neglect minorities in every aspect of health care from research through end of life care,” Senator Price said.

Internationally recognized heart expert and author, Dr. Richard Allen Williams and Gary A. Puckrein, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Minority Quality Forum, will be among the many health experts who will present important studies related information to legislators and community members in attendance.
