Homegrown Culver City – Oct. 23

On Oct. 23, this coming Saturday from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m., it’s time to think about creating the life you love. Homegrown Culver City is a family friendly event that celebrates backyard edibles, sustainable gardening, and an ecological lifestyle. It seeks to unite people and organizations dedicated to teaching and fostering organic gardening in an effort to strengthen the local community of urban farmers. There will be free workshops every hour on the hour, fun family activities, delicious local food, and live music performances throughout the day. Transition Culver City’s booth will feature a seed game – come and play and have fun.

The event is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring canned and/or packaged healthy food, as well as childrens winter clothing items to donate to Beyond Shelter. Learn, meet, connect and transition at Media Park, (that’s that last little drop of downtown in front of the Ivy Substation, across from Trader Joe’s) Culver City , 9070 Venice Blvd, Culver City.
