Local kids ages 7-17 will be performing in a production of the musical “Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.” during the weekend of May 20-22 at Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Culver City. The kids and teens are part of dee-Lightful Productions, a Culver City musical theater company under the direction of Dolores Aguanno, who puts on 4 musicals a year through the Culver City Department of Parks & Recreation. The show runs approximately 80 minutes plus an intermission, making it the perfect length for kids of all ages! You’ll love the big music & dance numbers like “Tradition,” and don’t worry if you get choked up by the beautiful, “Sunrise, Sunset,” because you’ll be in good company! Performances are Wednesday, May 19 at 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 20 at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 21 at 7:00 PM and a Saturday matinee on May 22 at 2:00 PM. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for kids 14 and under, $5 for seniors, and CCUSD teachers are free! Besides the full performance, dee-Lightful participants ages 7-10 will also perform in a Musical Revue, which features all the songs and some dialogue to tie them together. The Musical Revue is one time only, on Saturday, May 22 at 12:00 noon. Although these younger kids are also in the full performances, the Musical Revue gives them a chance to shine all on their own!
