The graduates heard from filmmaker and keynote speaker Ann Kaneko, whose films weave the intricacies of political and personal realities.
An Emmy winner, her credits include Manzanar, Diverted: When Water Becomes Dust (PBS POV broadcast); A Flicker in Eternity; Againats the Grain; An Artist’s Survival Guide to Peru and Overstay.
Kaneko was an 18SAC California Creative Corps, Fulbright and Japan Foundation Artist fellow. She teaches at the Claremont colleges.
