CCHS Students Make the Rank as Nation Merit Scholars

It’s the kind of good news that pops up every spring; 14 students from Culver City High School have been recognized in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, placing them among the top 50,000 scorers nationwide out of more than 1.5 million students who participated in the PSAT.

These students represent an elite group of academic achievers and are among the top 1% to 3% of high school seniors across the country based on their junior-year PSAT/NMSQT scores.

This recognition marks the first step in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship competition, with many students moving forward to higher rank in the coming year. These students are now in consideration for prestigious honors and scholarship opportunities.

The recognition of these National Merit Scholars is a testament to the excellent schools we have throughout our district. From elementary school through middle school and high school, our students achieve success because of the incredible dedication of our teachers and staff who cultivate knowledge, critical thinking, and academic excellence each day coupled with our administrators who lead our schools. Their success is also made possible through the strong partnership we share with our parents and broader community in supporting student achievement.
