It’s become a landmark, an icon – but we all agreed that stage would be temporary. The amazing murals and mosaics that are beautifying the building at 11029 Washington Boulevard will be giving way to ‘what comes next.’ So what will that be?
the Culver city Planning Commission will hear proposals for the redevelopment of the city-owned property on April 14, 2025. The City Council has directed staff to issue a request for proposals that would include housing, commercial, and community space.
Six proposals were received and five met all the requirements.
The purpose of the discussion is for the Planning Commission to receive public input on the proposed redevelopment proposals and make a recommendation to City Council. Public input is welcome.
Council referred the review to the Planning Commission for recommendation which will return to City Council for their decision. The meeting, on Sept. 24, 2025 at 7 pm will be the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting at City Hall, in the MIke Balkman Council Chambers.
