Summer Symphony – Calling All Dawns

The Culver City Symphony spends its summers as theMarina del Rey Symphony, and free summer concerts return to Burton Chace Park on Saturday, August 9th as the Marina del Rey Summer Symphony, led by Maestro Steven Allen Fox, and Angel City Chorale, led by Sue Fink, Artistic Director & Guest Conductor, combine to present Christopher Tin’s GRAMMY®-winning song cycle Calling All Dawns.

The concert features a full symphony orchestra, the 65-voice Angel City Chorale (made famous as an America’s Got Talent Semi-Finalist), a world famous roster of vocal soloists, and special guest, composer Christopher Tin.

The program includes music from Indiana Jones, Gladiator, the video game series Civilization, Nimrod from Enigma Variations, the inspirational spiritual Hold On, and the Grammy winning song cycle Calling All Dawns with the song Baba Yetu, all performed live to video projections.

Seating is festival-style and available on a first-come, first-served basis. ​No reserved seating for the public. Bring your picnic, a blanket, and a jacket (the ocean breeze can be quite cool once the sun goes down) and join us for a summer evening by the water.
