December 9, 2024 is the last Culver City Council meeting of the year, and will see Mayor Yasmine Imani McMorrin to the end of her year. Scheduled to begin at 7 pm at the Mike Balkman Council Chambers at City Hall, the annual ‘rotation’ is expected to be crowded.
Council member Goran Eriksson has reached his term limit, and will be stepping down from his seat. The newly elected Bryan “Bubba” Fish and the re-elected McMorrin and Albert Vera, Jr. will be sworn in as members of the next council.
Both Vice Mayor Dan O’Brien and Council member Freddy Puza retain their seats until the next election cycle, and O’Brien is expected to be installed as the new mayor.
The agenda has more than the rotation; the Consent Calendar also includes the final approval for 5700 Hannum Avenue, and salary change for the City Attorney, the Culver City Firefighters Association.
