Submit your comments by November 29 – Culver City is creating Complete Streets Design Guidelines to establish design standards for all streets in the city.
The Guidelines draw on best practices at the state and federal levels and build upon previously adopted City plans as policies—including the 2020 Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan, the 2021 Local Road Safety Plan, and the General Plan 2045—to ensure that the city continues to invest in streets that are safe for all users.
The Guidelines will apply to all street improvement projects in the public right-of-way.
The concept of Complete Streets encompasses many approaches to planning, designing, and operating roadways and rights of way with all users in mind to make the transportation network safer and more efficient. Complete Street policies are set at the state, regional, and local levels and are frequently supported by roadway design guidelines.
Visit the Complete Streets Design Guidelines page on the City’s website to review the public draft and submit your feedback. Comments are due by November 29th, so don’t wait!
After collecting all feedback received, the City staff will host several in-person public engagement events in early 2025. Community members will have an opportunity to learn more about the Guidelines, ask questions, and submit additional feedback.
