West LA College – Climate Action Palooza

West LA College is the new, green epicenter for environmental education and innovation. The inaugural Climate Action Palooza is scheduled to start on the International Day of Climate Action and will host of mix of students, industry and thought leaders. The fun-filled event, hosted by the state’s only California Center for Climate Change Education at West, promises to merge three extraordinary days of action and advocacy with resources to help prepare students for the green and blue economy.

West boasts the – first and only – degree and certificate programs in Climate Change & Environmental Studies among the 116 California community colleges.

After three days of student and professional programming, WLAC will welcome the community on Sat. Oct 26, 10 am – 3 pm for the Circular Communities Fair. Music, dance, games, art exhibitions, booths, hard-to-recycle items collection, T-shirt upcycling with live screen printing. Bring your T-shirts. Free vegan food for the first 100 people to arrive. Bring your costumes for a Halloween Costumes Swap.
