Art, Walk and Roll Festival Gifts the City with New Mural

The 6th Annual Art, Walk and Roll Festival on Oct. 5, 2024 added a permanent bright spot to Culver City with a new mural from Brooklynd Wildflowers.

Spending the day painting, Wildflowers took care to keep it local.“In this mural, I present the Black-Tailed Jackrabbit as it inhabits the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, a serene urban oasis in Culver City. The painting captures a moment of quiet stillness against the backdrop of the expansive Los Angeles cityscape, where the natural world meets the human-made horizon. The Jackrabbit, a symbol of resilience and adaptability is depicted with intricate detail, reflecting the delicate balance between wildlife and its surroundings.

“Through this painting, I explore the intersection of nature and urban life, inviting viewers to appreciate the often-overlooked beauty of our local ecosystems and the harmonious coexistence that is possible within our modern environment.”

The community can thank the Max Leather building for providing the canvas.

If you missed the mural painting on Saturday, its there for you to enjoy anytime.
