A very unique celebrity – METCHA-P, a robot deigned by the Culver City High School Robotics Team (with some help from JPL and another high school team) threw out the first pitch prior to the game on Thursday, July 25, 2024 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants, delighting the fans at Dodger Stadium.
Prior to the game, Robotics Coach Craig Singer said students joined three other robotics teams at a STEM event sponsored by the Dodgers and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
