The Village Well Books and Coffee will double it’s size in August, opening into the office space next door to dramatically increase the number of books.
Village Well owner Jennifer Casper offered “It still feels like a dream coming true! Village Well is expanding into the office next door. Our new book shelves were built in Tennessee and have been delivered, our contractors are busily painting, installing light fixtures and preparing for the final step of tearing down two sections of wall to open it all up. It all goes as planned the walls will come down before the end of July and then we hope to have City sign-off and be moved in and ready to let you in by mid August.”
The beautiful and popular spot opened during the pandemic, and has become known throughout the community as a hub of author readings, community events, creativity classes and (of course) the place to buy books. The expansion will include a new space to not be plugged in to your device. Caspar let customers know that “several areas will be reserved for people who are not working on computers…We love the laptop crowd, but they outnumber all other types of customers and we want to have space for everybody. We know taking time offline is so important for our mental health and we want you to be able to do it here!”
With the Village Well being so noted as a place to read and a place to connect, it will be interesting to see how it blossoms into a space to be ‘IRL.’
Look for more spaces in the store to open next month.
