Container gardening allows gardeners to nurture and develop relationships with plants no matter how much space or access to land they have. Participants with limited space interested in balcony or patio gardening will learn about selecting the right containers, choosing appropriate plants, and mastering container gardening techniques.
Hosted by Stoneview Nature Center in the outdoor education center, participants will be guided through a hands-on demonstration of planting container herbs and will learn interesting plant facts. Container gardening allows gardeners to nurture and develop relationships with plants no matter how much space or access to land they have. Participants with limited space interested in balcony or patio gardening will learn about selecting the right containers, choosing appropriate plants, and mastering container gardening techniques. We’ll discuss how to water, prune, and harvest medicinal and culinary herbs in containers while also strategizing on how to deal with pests and encourage visitations from pollinators.
