The West Los Angeles College Men’s Basketball Team advances to the Elite Eight with an impressive win over Saddleback College last Saturday, March 9 and a 26 – 4 overall record.
The Wildcats saved their best defensive performance of the year for Saddleback’s Bobcats who were held to a season low of 43 points. Beverly Hills High School alumnus Blake Lander led the Wildcats with 24 points. CJ Hardy, who has already committed to play next season at CSU Bakersfield, chipped in with 16 points and 8 assists.
This Friday, March 15, West faces off against College of the Sequoias in the tournament to determine the State Championship at Mt. San Antonio College. This is the second time in the program’s history that the team has made it to the tournament. Our last appearance there was in 2022.
