Thursday is the evening to be downtown for the annual Tree Lighting, Holiday Show and Sled-tacular! Bringing together performers from Culver City Middle School, the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, and Parks and Recreation classes will all bring their spirit of celebration. Beginning at 6 pm in the plaza, the performance will precede the tree lighting, when the 22 foot tall tree will be electrified with 7500 lights. There will be treats for all the guests, carnival games in the plaza, and (of course!) a visit from Santa to top off the night!
With festivities being so popular, it is strongly recommend to pre-register for the sledding, and take public transportation (Metro E Line (Culver City Station); Culver City Bus stops near Main Street on Culver Blvd. and Venice Blvd.) AND there will also be a bike valet area at the Lion Fountain. Snow sledding pre-registration now available – Come join the fun with 5 sledding runs and a snow play area complete with snowman. The snow area is open before the performances, beginning at 5 pm and closing at 8:30pm.
