Nominations for EHR Awards to Close on Jan. 31

If you’re Culver City resident, business owner, student, or a person employed in the city, you have the opportunity to shine a light on a special person who deserves to receive an Equity and Human Relations Award. Four awards will be given. Time’s running out! The deadline is this coming Tuesday, January 31st.

We know there are many deserving individuals throughout the city who would be thrilled to receive this award.
The Culver City Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee has created the Equity and Human Relations Award to honor four outstanding individuals for their contributions to equity and human relations in Culver City.
The four recipients will be individuals who have embodied inclusiveness, altruism, and giving through volunteerism and public service to make Culver City a better place for all people to live. You may nominate an individual who embodies these attributes.

There are four award categories: One award will be given to each of the following:

· An Individual – A Culver City resident or a person employed in Culver City

· A Student – Resident of Culver City or attending a Culver City Elementary, Middle School or High School, or West LA College

· A Culver City business owner

· An executive director of a non-profit organization serving the Culver City area

The award recipients will be selected in the next few months. Each honoree will receive a medallion at a ceremony held tentatively in March 2023.

It’s easy to nominate someone online. To locate the nominations form, go to the city website, culvercity.org, and type “awards” in the search screen. Make sure to read the awards criteria and rules.
