Save the dates and explore Culver City’s Business Districts this summer and fall! As part of the #ChooseCulverCity campaign, City of Culver City is pleased to launch the “Love Local” Music Program to enhance economic recovery efforts, enrich commercial corridors, and support neighborhood businesses.
“As we continue to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to continue to support our community,” notes Culver City Mayor Dr. Daniel Lee. “Buying local first helps sustain our businesses and makes Culver City a unique place to shop, work, dine and explore.”
The first Love Local music activation will take place in the Culver City Arts District on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 3 PM – 6 PM. Enjoy country music and light 70’s sounds from local bands Doug Gochman and the Desperate Measures and groove to indie rock with The Black Heartthrobs. Both bands will be performing along the Helms Walk – The Pedestrian Plaza on Helms Avenue. In addition to specials and promotions throughout the Arts District, The Helms Bakery District will also be offering several Summer Love Local activities including games, crafts and more!
Additional Love Local events will occur in Downtown Culver City on Saturday, September 10, 2022, and on West Washington Boulevard (between Centinela Avenue and Wade Street) on Saturday, October 15, 2022. More details and musician line-ups will be forthcoming at #ChooseCulverCity and on the City’s social media.
