The Culver City Police Department will be holding a community meeting to discuss information on Assembly Bill 481-acquisition and use of military equipment. Masks are optional.
The California law that began as Assembly Bill 481 requires that the law enforcement agencies obtain approval from the “applicable governing body” for the acquisition and/or use of military grade equipment. The bill also requires approval from the same governing body in regard to equipment acquired prior to January, 2022.
