Culver Hotel Goes to Proper Hospitality

The struggles of the hospitality industry during the pandemic have been the cause of many shifts and closures. Today, the Culver Hotel has announced that they will be “joining Proper Hospitality’s family of Collective Hotels.”

According to a social media post commenting on this new partnership, “Proper will be taking over our day to day management and operations, and will work closely with us to continue to elevate our beautiful historic hotel, enhance our guest experience and curate unique events and programming.”

Owner Maya Mallick stated “It has been our honor and privilege to restore and reimagine our community’s landmark hotel and gathering place over the last fifteen years and we look forward to continuing the magic, together with Proper Hospitality as we approach The Culver Hotel’s 2024 Centennial.”

“We are thrilled that the Culver Hotel is looking to reopen at last, as this unique property has made Downtown Culver City a special place for nearly 100 years.  We are also delighted that the Mallick family will remain involved,” Downtown Business Association President Darrel Menthe commented. “This announcement is a good day for Culver City.”

There will be an official announcement when the Culver Hotel names the date for a full reopening.
