CCUSD to Pause In-School COVID Testing Over Spring Break – Testing Still Available for the Community

Most tests for the new strain of coronavirus involve taking a swab sample for analysis

The Culver City Unified School District will pause weekly COVID-19 in-school testing during spring break (March 29 – April 8). We will resume weekly in-school testing again on Tuesday, April 12. CCUSD will provide drive-thru testing during the break for students, families and any and all community members in the Middle School/Elenda parking lot, on the following days:

Saturday, March 26, 9 am – 2 pm
Tuesday, March 29, 9 am – 2 pm
Saturday, April 2, 9 am – 2 pm
Tuesday, April 5, 9 am – 2 pm

Registration in advance is required:
labgen (labsvc.net) For complete and detailed instructions, go to https://files.constantcontact.com/1a9e6620601/34ddc02e-7166-4679-ab89-286fe7715aea.pdf
Only register once – then “order a test” for each day you want to come.
There are no appointment times. Just show up during the 9am-2pm window.

Results are provided within 24-48 hours.

This drive-thru testing is optional; a negative test result will not be required to return to school after the break, although we strongly encourage everyone to get tested at one of these sites, or an alternative clinic of your choosing, before returning to school on Monday, April 11. All students will be required to get tested in person on Tuesday, April 12, whether or not they got tested during spring break, when our in-school testing resumes.

Please remember that students are required to continue masking while indoors on campus from Monday, April 11 – Friday, April 15, as we monitor any Covid-19 cases that occur during spring break. Barring a major surge, masking will be optional, though still strongly encouraged, for students and staff beginning Monday, April 18.
