CTG Plans Ahmanson Season to Open (Hopefully) in November

With L.A. County progressing through the state’s tiered reopening framework, and with vaccines being made available on an expedited timeline (please get vaccinated!), the Center Theatre Group  is setting plans. Hopes are high that a return to in-person theatre at the Ahmanson is possible in 2021. The past 14 months have been challenging for all of us—particularly in the performing arts—and we have just a few more months to go.

The 2021/22 Ahmanson Season is now scheduled to begin on November 30, 2021 with a magical new interpretation of A Christmas Carol. It will certainly be a joyous occasion when we open the season with this “enchanting spectacle” (The Hollywood Reporter) in time for the holidays.

A new addition will also be included in the upcoming season: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, making its North American premiere direct from London’s West End. The full season lineup also includes these incredible shows: The Lehman Trilogy, Hadestown, Dear Evan Hansen, The Prom, Oklahoma!, and Come From Away.

The CTG is finalizing season plans for the Mark Taper Forum and Kirk Douglas Theatre, and will update you soon.
