The Culver City Julian Dixon Library needed to close for some construction, and this is pretty much the perfect moment to do that. But how to keep Culver City’s bibliophiles happy? A bookdrop for returns and Sidewalk Service for picking up available holds are both now available at the Stone House at Lindberg Park, at 5041 Rhoda Way. Look for the Stone House on the corner of Rhoda and Ocean, just a half mile from the library.
Sidewalk Service is now open and running. Friends of the Library President Michale Laase offered “I’d like to thank the City of Culver City for working so hard with the County Library to make this possible and letting us use the Lindberg Park site. We all appreciate that we can still have service to check out items from our Library. Without the help of the City, this would not have been made possible.”
Services are open Monday through Friday, from 11:00am to 5:00pm
There is still no mechanism to accept donations.
Please call 310.559.1676 in advance to arrange to pick up holds. Staff are available by phone Mon – Fri, 10 am – 6 pm. Sidewalk service hours are Mon – Fri, 11 am – 5 pm.
The Culver City Julian Dixon Library is scheduled to be under construction until winter of 2021.
