New Offices @ Robertson and National Booked for WarnerMedia

In 2021, WarnerMedia is scheduled to move into a new office building near Metro’s Culver City Station. While the project’s debut may remain on the horizon, EYRC Architects has offered a first look inside the landmark structure on Venice Boulevard.

The five-story, 240,000-square-foot building is one component of Ivy Station, a $350-million mixed-use complex which is being built by Los Angeles-based developer Lowe. In addition to offices, the project will include 200 apartments, the 148-room Shay Hotel, and roughly 50,000 square feet of retail space upon completion.

The building leased by WarnerMedia sits on the northern perimeter of the site, spanning nearly 500 feet between Robertson and National Boulevards. The concrete-frame structure straddles the Los Angeles-Culver City border, which required EYRC Architects to comply with code requirements for both jurisdictions.

The building faces busy Venice Boulevard with a red, metal facade which is angled to reduce glare from the afternoon sun while also maintaining visibility.

Its southern exterior will face landscaped public plaza at the center of Ivy Station, as well as the adjoining Metro Rail station. Roll-up doors are included all levels, creating potential indoor-outdoor spaces for occupants.

WarnerMedia joins several other technology and media companies which have recently set up shop in Culver City.

Just across National Boulevard, construction is also underway for an office building that is slated to become the new home of Apple’s content division.

A half-mile west along Washington Boulevard, Amazon has leased roughly 600,000 square feet of space between two different properties in Downtown Culver City to serve as the new home of Amazon Studios and several other subsidiaries.
