Chamber & District Partner for ‘Giveback’ Program

As the pandemic of COVID-19 hit, our students have found themselves looking for an opportunity to fill a void of helplessness, depression, purpose, or self-worth. These empty feelings are leaving our youth struggling mentally, as are so many adults. Many of them have been accustomed to finding events and activities to fill their calendars during the long summer months, however this year is different.

In an effort to assist our community, the Culver City Chamber of Commerce, would like to be a champion in assisting our neighbors (both personally or professionally). We’ll do this by connecting students with the various needs in our community. With their talents, our youth might be able to help with projects.

The assignment could be short, or longer as the pandemic seems to run beyond the Summer.

With the safety of both parties in mind, some ideas might include, but not limited to:

Car Washing
Window Washing
Lawn/Weed Care
Errands
Grocery Delivery
Answer/ Make phone calls/Appointment Setting
Data Entry
Conversations – discussions about possible career paths
Painting
Garage Cleaning
Garage Organizing
Hauling
Summer Cleaning

There are many little and big projects our youth could assist with. Let’s work together to offer a helping hand to so many who are struggling to find an activity and purpose right now.
The Culver City Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Culver City Unified School District would like to ask YOU:

Do you have a project, large or small, that a member of our community could assist you with?
Have you been looking for an internship, but coming up blank?
Are you finding you spend hours watching YouTube or TikTok videos and looking for some purpose?
What talents are you willing to share?

Let us know if you would be interested in helping someone in need. Maybe it’s paid, maybe it’s not, but no project is too small. Contact the Culver City Chamber of Commerce, at [email protected]

Note: when emailing, please use “Giveback” in the title.
