Culver City Rotary Steps Up with Help for Emergency Food, Blood Drive.

Culver City is known for it’s service clubs, and the Culver City Rotary is reminding the community that service is a verb.

First, they created donations to the emergency food drive program this past week, where Assistant to the City Manager Shelly Wolfberg noted, “Thanks to their donation we were able to create more than 70 bags (and counting!) of nonperishable food to donate to local seniors in need who are part of our Senior Nutrition Program at the Culver City Senior Center.  Culver City has really come together during this time to serve our neighbors and we are grateful to organizations like the Rotary Community Foundation for their help!  The PRCS team was happy to shop, pack and distribute thanks to their generosity. ”

As with so many challenges related to the pandemic, there is a shortage of blood supplies and the need is crucial. The Culver City Rotary Club will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, from 9:00 am–3:00 pm Veterans Memorial Park 4117 Overland Ave. Culver City, CA 90230. Look for the Bloodmobile by the playground and tennis courts. Sign up to donate: http://cedars-sinai.org/giveblood

Appointments preferred, but all donors are welcome.

Applause for the Culver City Rotary and all that they are doing to be good neighbors.
