This weekend will kick off the first CicLAvia of the year (and the 35th ever) with food trucks, photo booths, arts & crafts projects, games, and countless sights along a 6-mile route through South Los Angeles.
Find activities, Hub information (there are water stations, free bike repair, and first aid at every Hub stop), and more details on our activities page.
Explore CicLAvia—South LA this Sunday, February 23, from 9 am to 3 pm.
There are a number of ways to get to CicLAvia on Sunday. We encourage people to experience a car-free day (whether by using public transportation or cycling / walking), but there is ample parking for anyone who chooses to drive. Because there is no “start” or “finish,” you can join anywhere and park (almost) anywhere.
Metro’s Blue (A) Line has 7 stops within a mile of the route, and Metro Bike will set up pop-up bike share stations at the Watts Hub and the South Central Hub (first come first served).
Is this your first CicLAvia? Want to brush up on any basics?
It’s free, open to anyone and everyone, doesn’t require any tickets – just show up and have fun! You can bike, walk, run, skate, and stroll. There are some safety tips to know, and if you have questions about what vehicles are allowed, read up on that here. Generally, anything with a motor isn’t allowed; anything ‘people-powered’ is.
Every Hub will have water, first aid, AARP-sponsored pedicabs (free to ride!), bathrooms, and CicLAvia staff to help you find anything you need.
Stop by CicLAvia Corner at the South Central Hub on Sunday where you can meet some of CicLAvia’s staff and board members, learn more about the organization and our plans for 2020, and donate just $1 to claim a sticker that reflects what CicLAvia means to you.
We depend on our participants and supporters to make our open streets events come to life!
