For the past several years, Culver City Unified School District has worked with a group of committed stakeholders in identifying and addressing inequitable practices that impact student success.
The Equity Advisory Council (EAC) has been instrumental in connecting CCUSD families impacted by immigration enforcement with resources in the community, providing anti-bias professional development to CCUSD staff, as well as examining survey and achievement data to address barriers. This year, the EAC will work with an external consultant to develop a framework for a districtwide Strategic Equity Plan.
CCUSD is seeking interested stakeholders representing the diversity of our community to engage in a series of facilitated meetings beginning on September 26, 2019 and ending on April 17, 2020. At the end of this process, CCUSD will have a multi-year, strategic equity plan that will identify five key goals/priorities and guide the work in removing barriers to student success.
Participants will be chosen based on availability on the dates provided and representation of different stakeholder groups.
If you are interested and able to participate in this process, please complete the brief survey by September 16, 2019: CCUSD Equity Planning Interest Survey. Click on the link below to access survey.
