Ivy Station Plans to Lease Office Space to HBO

Ivy Station, the mammoth development being built next to the Metro Expo Station, might have the tenant that didn’t get their first pick of downtown Culver City offices. HBO is reported to be signing a contract to lease all 200,000-square-feet at Ivy, moving to Culver City from Santa Monica. The $350 million mixed use development is also planning to include living space and retail outlets.

This office lease comes almost a year after HBO’s plans to move into Lincoln Property Co.’s 128,000-square-foot project fell through. Apple ultimately leased the entire site.

The transit-oriented Ivy Station project will include 200 apartments, a 148-room hotel, shops, restaurants and 1,500 underground parking spaces. The development will also feature an expanded courtyard where Lowe will hold movie nights, concerts and fitness classes.

HBO would be relocating from Santa Monica’s Colorado Center once its lease expires in 2019.
