The 11th Annual Artistic Uprising at AULA this Friday, Nov. 16 from 7-11 pm at Anitoch University.
The Artistic Uprising is an annual celebration of creative work, critical minds, and community engagement in support of an incredible project. Proceeds from the sale of arts and crafts benefit the Bridge Program, which provides university-level education for students who may not otherwise have access to higher education. Come and be a part of a night of performance, art, and expression. This year’s theme: Machines.
Free to All. Family Friendly. Food & drinks provided.
Scheduled performers include Tessie Herrasti, with an excerpt from her original play Matilde and Lula; Raven Kras, with a multimedia piece dedicated to Jamal Khashoggi; and other talented performers.
An annual highlight of Artistic Uprising is “Salsa Justice,” sponsored by the AULA Alumni Council. Stop by to make your own delicious, one-of-a-kind salsa creation! The library will be the place to make a pledge for a donation of glass jars, peppers, tomatoes and tortilla chips. Salsa questions can go to Ken Pienkos at 310- 578-1080 ex 388 or email to [email protected]
