Eagle Scout Project Needs Your Help

It’s a great tradition among the Boy Scouts of America – the Eagle Scout Project. Making the world a better place as a commemoration of your time as a Scout. Jensen Halbert is doing just that.

The goal of his project is to contribute to a community center that provides critical services to at-risk LGBTQ youth while building both community awareness of the challenges faced by these kids,  and building bridges between the Boy Scouts and the LGBTQ community, two groups that previously had a poor relationship due to the Boy Scouts’ policy of excluding gay members.

The youth shelter at the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center needs clothing, and hygiene items to give to those it is helping. Specifically, the center requests new socks and underwear. Therefore this project will collect clothes during the week before school when families are buying new clothes and getting rid of old clothes.

Donation pick up will be August 25, 2018 at 9 am
