Burning Heart Bluegrass joins forces with Chris Cerna and the Bluegrass Republic once again on Saturday, February 25th at Boulevard Music in Culver City for a high-energy celebration of real Bluegrass music. Be ready for hard-driving rhythms, hot licks, soaring harmonies, and a few tender ballads, as well.
There is nothing like the sound of guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and doghouse bass when they get into that special Bluegrass groove. Add to that high-powered vocals and spot-on harmonies and you have Burning Heart Bluegrass. BHB has appeared in numerous Bluegrass festivals and was recently selected to appear this summer as a Showcase Band at the California Bluegrass Association’s Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival at Grass Valley.
Chris Cerna and the Bluegrass Republic, mandolin wizard Chris Cerna’s newest band, features silky smooth vocals and astonishing instrumental virtuosity. Their most recent appearances were at the Colorado River Bluegrass Festival and the St. Valentine’s Day GRASSacre in Los Vegas.
Boulevard Music, located at 4316 Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City, has emerged as one of the great (and few remaining) independent music stores in Southern California.
