Poetry and Pizza! The first in a planned series of Centennial poetry readings will be held this Saturday, October 8 at the Senior Center from 10:00-12:00. In honor of National Pizza Month, CPK is providing pizza for poets and guests.
The event was created by Dr. Janet Cameron Hoult, professor emerita at California State University, Los Angeles, Culver City’s Honorary Artist Laureate for Poetry.
There will be two more readings in 2017 – April 8 at the Julian Dixon Library and September 9 at the Mayme Clayton Library and Museum. If folks are interested in submitting a poem, they can visit www.wordpainting.net and find all the information.
