Downtown Culver City second annual “Stay & Play” Happy Hour and Tropical Drink & Treat Tasting — Downtown Culver City is the perfect place to get away without any of the stress. Party and play in a neighborhood that is always a good time any day of the year, but especially on the Third Wednesday of every month. Say “Aloha” to August with samples of Tropical Drinks and Treats. Check in at Melrose Mac or Lundeen’s Gifts and pick up your “Third Wednesday Passport” with a list of participating restaurants, bars and retail establishments – then get it stamped each time you sample a Tropical Aloha Drink or a Tasty Tropical Treat. Stop by Town Plaza for some live music. Bring the whole family and enjoy face painters, balloon artists and more. When you’re ready, turn your passport in at the Kirk Douglas Theatre and be entered in a raffle to win summertime prizes (no purchase necessary), then stick around for an open house featuring music, theater tours and snacks. Culver City’s downtown area is Southern California’s best kept secret, featuring a wonderful mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries, and unique restaurants opening on to tree-lined streets. Parking is free in municipal structures for up to two hours, or valet parking is available at four convenient Downtown locations.
