Voting by Mail? Mind the Calendar

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean Logan reminds voters to request a Vote by Mail ballot by Tuesday, Sept. 10 for the Special Elections on Sept. 17, 2013. The application period for Vote by Mail ballots begins today.

The RR/CC began mailing more than 200,000 Vote by Mail Ballots to voters today. In addition, the RR/CC began mailing 250,500 Sample Ballot Booklets for Assembly District 45 and 435,500 Sample Ballot Booklet for Senate District 26.

Requesting a Vote by Mail ballot is easy and can be done online or by using the back of the official sample ballot. Registered voters can also apply in person at the RR/CC’s main office: 12400 Imperial Hwy., 3rd floor, Room 3002, Norwalk, CA 90650.

L.A. County residents who applied for a Vote by Mail ballot can check the status of their ballot online.

The special primary elections will take place in Assembly District 45 and the old Senate District 26, per previous district boundaries. Cities and neighborhoods participating in the election include Agoura, Calabasas, Chatsworth, Culver City, Hidden Hills, Ladera Heights, Los Angeles, View Park, West Athens and West Hills.
