CCUSD Academy to Offer Online Learning

What’s the CCUSD Academy? Here is the news from the source –  The Culver City Unified School District has embarked on a new on-line learning academy that provides a pathway for students to learn in a flexible, adaptable and accessible new environment.

The CCUSD Academy blends home schooling, independent study and technology with site-based learning and support from credentialed CCUSD teachers. Parents also participate as learning coaches.

“We are excited to expand our pathways for learning” said Dave LaRose, CCUSD Superintendent. “We believe deeply in the capacity of ALL children to learn at high levels; however, we also know that all student do not learn the same way or at the same pace.”

The Academy allows students access to instruction 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is available for all grades and all subjects, including foreign languages, accelerated programs, remediation programs and Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

Born out of a recognition that every student has his or her own learning style, pace and needs, the Academy provides a unique and different structure that honors the unique goals of each student.

The Academy is located between Farragut Elementary School and Culver City Middle School in Building One of the Culver Park Annex. For more information, please contact Principal Veronica Montes at (310) 842-4200, ext., 3600 or via email at [email protected]
