Crime Blotter – Tire Slashings

Crime Blotter for September 18th through the 24th.
Car Burglary:
On September 19, 2012 at 5:30 pm, a victim called the police department to report his 2003 Chevrolet was burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 4300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard on September 19th at 11; 15 am. When he returned at 12:35 pm, he discovered his property missing.
Vandalism:
On September 20, 2012 at 7:00 am, a victim called the police department to report her vehicle was vandalized. The victim said she parked and she locked her 2006 Nissan in the 4800 block of Hollow Corner Road on September 19th at 6:15 pm. When she returned the next morning she discovered her tires had been slashed.
Residential Burglary:
On September 21, 2012 at 4:06 pm, officers responded to the 10900 block of Pickford Way regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he said he locked and secured his doors but left his windows unsecured at 6:30 am. When he returned at 4:05 pm, he discovered his bedroom had been ransacked and his property missing.
Attempt Commercial Robbery:
On September 23, 2012 at 8:50 pm, officers responded to the 6200 block of Bristol Parkway regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was standing behind the cash register when the suspect approached her and removed a handgun from his waistband and demanded the money. The suspect was told that he was being videoed and he turned around and fled the location.
Vandalism:
On September 20, 2012 at 7:50 pm, a victim called the police department to report his vehicle was vandalized. The victim said he parked and locked his 2001 Dodge in the 10800 block of Arizona on September 19th at 7:30 pm, when he returned the next day he discovered his tires had been slashed.
