This Tuesday, July 19 from 10 am to noon, the Ballona Creek Watershed Task Force Stakeholders Meeting (new time for this meeting only!) will be at the Patacchia Room, Culver City Hall, 9770 Culver Blvd. Presentations include the Baykeeper’s Drain Watch program, and Culver City’s Rainwater Harvesting program. Wednesday, July 20, 7:00-8:30pm, Drain Watch presentation and basic training for interested volunteers, Santa Monica Baykeeper HQ, 120 Broadway, Suite 105, Santa Monica. Assisted by some alerts and photo documentation from BCR bike path users, Drain Watch staff and volunteers are busy monitoring drain outlets along Ballona Creek for pollutants. This provides a valuable supplement to ongoing in-creek monitoring by others.
