The Los Angeles Doctors Symphony will present a free concert on Sunday March 7 at 3 p.m. at the Vets Auditorium at 4117 Overland Ave. The evening will feature “Young Pianists in Concert: Winners of the Westside Music Foundation Robert Turner Piano Competition.”
The program will be Brahms: Variations on a Theme by Haydn Op.56a, Kabalevsky: Piano Concerto No.3 in D Major, Op.50, “Youth” and
Chopin: Piano Concerto No.1 in E minor, Op.11
Dr. Ivan Shulman, will conduct.
Soloists for the Kabalevsky Concerto:
Movement I Noah Simon, age 11 (student of Mary Ann Cummins)
Movement II Yujung Park, age 9 (student of Deborah H. How)
Movement III Hannah Chang, age 11 (student of Yin Yin Huang)
Soloists for the Chopin concerto:
Movement I Alice Hyoung, age 15 (student of Rufus Choi)
Movement II Grace Han, age 16 (student of Rufus Choi)
Movement III Ariel Mizumoto, age 17 (student of Elvin S. Rodriguez)
