Join us this Saturday for a free concert under the stars, with the cool ocean breeze, the boats gently swaying in the harbor, and live music filling the air. The Marina del Rey Summer Symphony, under the baton of Maestro Steven Allen Fox, joins with the SoCAL Chorale, under the direction of Marya Basaraba, to take you on an incredible journey through some of the most beloved worlds in gaming. Whether you’ve spent countless hours exploring these adventures yourself or are hearing these remarkable scores for the very first time, you’ll discover that the music of video games has become some of the most powerful and emotionally compelling music being written today.
Much of the best music for video games is created here in Los Angeles County, and the evening will feature some wonderful special guests from the local area. We’re honored to welcome internationally acclaimed cellist Tina Guo, whose extraordinary artistry has captivated audiences around the world and whose performances have become synonymous with some of the most iconic music in gaming and film. We also welcome several local award-winning composers including Austin Wintory, winner of the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media.
Bring your picnic, a blanket, and a jacket (the ocean breeze can be quite cool once the sun goes down) and join us for a magical evening under the stars.
