A man who claimed to be armed made off with $10,000 in cash before disappearing.
At approximately 1 pm on Tuesday, June 3, 2026, a man described as a Black adult about 5 feet 10 inches tall entered a bank at the Culver Center, handed a bank teller a note claiming that he was armed, and demanded cash. Fearing for their safety, the bank employee complied.
The suspect then fled on foot with approximately $10,000. The Culver City Police officers responded quickly and conducted an extensive search of the area, but the suspect was not found.
The CCPD also sent an alert, noting that he was last seen heading north toward Venice Boulevard, wearing a black T-shirt and gray pants.
