This Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2 pm, Music/Words LA returns to the Wende’s Glorya Kaufman Community Center! Most concerts ask you to sit back, but this one asks you to lean in: Music/Words LA is a live series where poetry and music share the stage and answer each other in real time.
Curated and anchored by pianist Inna Faliks, Head of Piano at UCLA, the program pairs her with LA Philharmonic violinist Varty Manouelian, LA Philharmonic cellist Ben Hong, and Poet Laureate of the Pacific Palisades Michelle Bitting.
The repertoire is a feast, including Saint-Saëns, Chopin, Bach, Kurtág, Bartók, and Shostakovic. It will be performed not in a vacuum but in live dialogue with Bitting’s poetry.
