AVPA Goes to ‘Hadestown’

Hadestown tells the intertwined Greek myths of lovers Orpheus & Eurydice and Hades & Persephone, reimagined with folk-jazz music in a gritty, industrial world where poverty and climate crisis mirror ancient struggles, as narrator Hermes guides the tragic, hopeful story of love, greed, and storytelling itself, focusing on the power of art and community to find beauty amidst despair.

Culver City High School’s Academy of Visual and Performing Arts will be presenting Hadestown on two weekends, March 5-8, and March 12-15 at teh Robert Frost Auditorium, 4400 Elenda Ave.
