Designed by the Los Angeles firm Sussman/Prejza, the illuminated surrounds were created to celebrate Culver City’s cinematic heritage, each featuring the title of a film made locally. More than 25 years later, the system shows signs of wear and requires significant maintenance and restoration.
The City is exploring several options for the corridor’s future, which may include repairing, redesigning, or removing the tree surrounds. Community input will help guide decisions about how best to approach this next phase.
