The eight annual National Taco Day fundraiser with Tito’s Tacos/Tito’s Vodka for the Culver Arts Foundation raised “just over $18,000” for the local non-profit whose work supports pubic art and artists.
From CAF leader Jim Clarke, “Attendance was a little less than last year, but it was a very pleasant day, the entertainment and food were fabulous, lots of kids and adults were making pinatas and dancing.”
The festivities at Tito’s Tacos on Oct. 4 included mariachi music, dance by Folkorico Revolution, a mini-pinata workshop by Yesina Prieto, and of course, plenty of tacos.
The Culver Arts Foundation sponsors Artist-Meet Ups where artists can connect, and “Projecting Possibilities” which presents artwork on the night-windows at Helms Design Center.
