CCUSD Students Explore in Ecuador & the Galápagos: More Travel Opportunities Ahead

This summer, a group of adventurous CCUSD middle and high school students led by CCMS teacher Cristina Hernandez-Avalos, embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime educational tour of Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands.

From hiking volcanic landscapes and snorkeling with sea lions to visiting a sustainable organic farm and standing on the equator, our travelers experienced the unique culture, biodiversity, and beauty of this incredible part of the world. For many, it was their first time abroad – an unforgettable introduction to global travel and environmental awareness.

Students can start planning now for two epic trips in 2026: Spring Break 2026: Panama Adventure. This Central American journey is perfect for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike.

Please note: These trips are not sponsored by CCUSD, but are open to middle and high school students in the district.
