Jen Caspar, of the Village Well Bookstore, will be at the culver Arts Festival, but she won’t just be there selling books. This time, she’s making a movie. Your participation is essential.
On Saturday October 10, 2026 at the 8th Annual Culver City Arts Festival, we will be producing a short documentary that brings together voices from our community sharing brief passages (keep it short, please! under 50 words) that have the power to inspire and sustain us.
Caspar offered “At this challenging moment in our history, we are drawn to connect with one another for comfort and inspiration. The words we choose express who we are and together we create a narrative, a collective story that guides us as we move together to make our best impact on our world.”
The call is open for young and old, and residents from all walks of life. Bring your favorite quote, your most inspiring maxim, the thing that should be on a bumper sticker or a billboard. Or bring a poem, a song, a saying that your grandmother gave you. Of course, encouraging you to seek these words of encouragement from literature, our great thinkers and leaders or someone you know.
