CCPD Seeking Witnesses to Assault at Westfield/Fox Hills Mall

On Monday, August 31, 2026, at approximately 4:39 p.m., Culver City Police officers responded to a retail location in the Westfield/ Fox Hills Mall at 6000 Sepulveda Boulevard after receiving reports of a group of juveniles harassing patrons. Moments later, officers received an update to the call that members of the same group were assaulting a man.

Officers arrived and quickly located a male adult victim suffering from significant injuries. Culver City Fire Department personnel responded and transported him to a local hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, officers learned that the victim was with his girlfriend and their two young children when the incident occurred. During the assault, suspects forcibly took jewelry from the female victim, causing injuries. The female victim and both children were transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

The suspects were described as approximately five to six Black males, believed to be between 16 and 20 years old, wearing dark clothing. They were last seen fleeing toward Slauson Avenue and Hannum Drive.

Culver City Police detectives are actively investigating the incident and working to identify those responsible.
