On June 2, 2026, at 1:10 p.m., a bank robbery occurred on the 3800 block of Culver Center Drive. The suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, and presented a demand note claiming to be armed. After obtaining cash from the teller, the suspect fled the area on foot.
Following an investigation by Culver City Detectives, with assistance from the Culver City Forensics Unit, the suspect was quickly identified as 35-year-old Shawn Greene.
On June 12, 2026, Greene was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, West Hollywood Station, after allegedly committing a similar bank robbery in their jurisdiction.
Culver City Detectives responded to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station, where they interviewed Green, who admitted to committing the bank robbery in Culver City on June 2, 2026.
On June 16, 2026, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, and two counts of bank robbery were filed against Greene.
